The Japanese word Reiki means universal energy. It aims to relax you, ease stress and tension and help with well being; which is what Heartfelt Ways is all about.

Although this treatment can be administered anywhere, all our Reiki treatments are performed here at the centre.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes natural and holistic healing. It is administered by a trained healer who works either hands-on or off, and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
If a person’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, then we are more capable of being happy and healthy and generally well.
A typical treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person. This includes the body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results, however, be the judge yourself!
Reiki is a very simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping people with a great many illnesses. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
How does Reiki work?
To receive a reiki treatment you remain dressed but most clients opt to be covered with a lovely warm blanket to help relaxation. Reiki is a simple and safe therapy that may involve light touch of the body to allow energy to be channelled through my hands to you. I will discuss this at your first appointment.
Although Reiki is extremely beneficial when we are unwell or experiencing stress it is also an excellent treatment for maintaining health and wellbeing and promoting a good quality of sleep.
We are all unique and your response to Reiki will be both different from another person and may also be different each time you come. Energy works in a holistic way to treat body, mind and spirit. There is therefore no right or wrong way to experience Reiki, there is only YOUR way.
Reiki may make you sleepy or energized or even emotional – all of these are normal reactions as there are no contraindications for reiki as a complimentary therapy.
Angelic Reiki
At the heart of Angelic Reiki lies a conscious and heartfelt connection with the angelic realm.
This extraordinary practice combines the ancient art of Reiki with the nurturing assistance of angelic beings, resulting in a unique healing experience that harmonizes energy and promotes holistic well-being.

The client is invited to lie down and be enveloped in warm cosy blankets in a relaxing and soothing space whilst listening to meditation music.
Reiki Aftercare
After a Reiki session, it is important to take care of yourself and allow the healing energies to integrate fully. Here are some suggestions for aftercare following a Reiki session:
Rest and relax: Give yourself time to rest and allow your body to absorb the Reiki energy. Take it easy for the rest of the day and avoid any strenuous activities if possible.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and facilitate the release of any toxins that may have been released during the session.
Reflect and journal: Take some time to reflect on your Reiki session. Consider any insights, emotions, or sensations you experienced during the treatment. Journaling can be a helpful way to process your thoughts and feelings.
Gentle movement or stretching: Engage in gentle movements or light stretching exercises to help the energy flow through your body and prevent any stiffness or discomfort.
Eat nourishing foods: Choose wholesome, nourishing foods that support your overall well-being. Focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and foods that resonate with you intuitively.
Self-care practices: Engage in self-care activities that help you relax and rejuvenate. This could include taking a warm bath with Epsom salts, practicing meditation or deep breathing exercises, or indulging in activities that bring you joy and peace.
Remember, everyone’s experience with Reiki is unique, so listen to your body and honour what feels right for you.

What Does Reiki Treatment Cost?
Reiki can be booked as an individual session but many people find a series of sessions to be beneficial as it can have a cumulative effect.
